Sensitive Skin Facial Toning Mist
A good friend asked me to formulate a facial toner spray that she could use on her sensitive skin. I pulled out all my herb and aromatherapy books and formulated the following recipe. I used five different hydosols (floral waters) and five different essential oils. I kept the essentials oils to right around 1% of the formula and chose ones that were soothing and beneficial to sensitive skin types. My friend tried it for one whole week and was so happy with how soothing and calming the toner was on her skin. I am very happy she is enjoying this and I hope you will too! It smells heavenly and feels very comforting on the skin.
I used rosewater, orange blossom water, chamomile hydrosol, calendula hydrosol and lavender hydrosol. I get the rosewater and orange blossom water from my local Persian grocery store. You can purchase the hydrosols from Mountain Rose Herbs or if you live near the Eastside in Washington, you can visit Herban Wellness. I know that not everyone has five different flower waters in their pantry, so even if you have one or two of the ones listed below, go with those and your recipe will still be wonderful and soothing.
