French Sea Salt Exfoliating Body Balm
Ladies and gents, hold on to your hats, because I've fallen head over heels for my latest creation - the French Sea Salt Exfoliating Body Balm! It's like a mini French vacation for your skin, minus the berets and baguettes.
This balm is no ordinary scrub - oh no! It's a French revolution in skincare, gently exfoliating dead skin cells with the help of French Grey Sea Salt. This isn't your average table salt, folks - it's straight from the chic coast of France!
But the fun doesn't stop there. We are also talking about deep hydration here, thanks to the skin-loving trio of sweet almond oil, pure olive oil, and glycerine. It's like a moisturizing ménage à trois for your skin!
I've also thrown in a blend of lavender, rose geranium and basil essential oils. If only I could invent smell-o-vision, you'd understand how fantastic this stuff smells! It's like a garden party for your nose, with the sweet, floral notes of lavender and rose geranium balanced by the warm, spicy kick of basil. It's a bouquet that doesn't wilt!
Trust me, you NEED to whip up a batch of this balm. If your skin is as dry and flaky as a stale croissant, this miracle mix will transform it to a smooth, glowing baguette after just one or two uses. Bonus: you'll smell like a Provencal garden in full bloom - who can resist that?
Lets get started gathering the necessary ingredients.......
French Sea Salt Exfoliating Body Balm
42 grams Olive Oil
30 grams Sweet Almond Oil
30 grams Vegetable Glycerine
15 grams Beeswax
90 grams French Sea Salt, divided use
30 drops Lavender Essential Oil
20 drops Rose Geranium Essential Oil
10 drops Basil Essential Oil
Add the olive oil, sweet almond oil, glycerine and beeswax into a glass measuring cup. Place it in a simmering water bath and allow the beeswax to fully melt into the oils. Remove from the heat.
Allow the mixture to cool to 100 degrees.
Add in the essential oils and gently stir to combine.
Add half of the French Sea Salt into the container you plan to store the product in and pour the oil/wax mixture over the salt. Gently stir for several minutes to fully incorporate the ingredients.
Once the mixture starts to firm up it is time to add in the remainder of the French Sea Salt.
Continue to gently stir until all the ingredients are combined. Transfer to the refrigerator for one hour.
I added some twine around the lid and body of my canning jar to make it look a "bit fancy".
I then applied a cute little label I printed to the jar. I made this exfoliating body balm for myself, but I think I might make another one for a friend since this is so darn' tootin' adorable and will make a wonderful gift!!! The labels I used are #16915 from Momenta (www.momenta.com).
Alright, listen up, beauties! Here's the lowdown on how to use this miracle creation: Grab a good handful of this stuff and give your dry skin a five-minute massage. Don't be shy! Really get in there, especially on those desert-like areas that could give a cactus a run for its money.
Next, rinse off the evidence in a warm shower. But hold on to your rubber ducks! This stuff contains oil, which can turn your shower or bathtub into a slip 'n slide faster than you can say 'smooth skin'. So, put on your imaginary ice-skating shoes and tread carefully!
Feel free to lather, rinse, and repeat this ritual once or twice a week. But remember, moderation is key. This is a skincare routine, not a potato chip binge.
So go forth, whip up a batch, and let this body balm work its magic! And hey, thanks for dropping by my blog. Here’s to a skin so smooth, it makes a baby’s bottom jealous! Cheers and green blessings, my fabulous skin care enthusiasts!
