Herbal Toner for Oily Skin

This toner is formulated for oily complexions and is very astringent and anti-inflammatory.  My recipe contains Witch Hazel Extract to help cleanse oil from the skin and reduce pore size.  I added in a small amount of Aloe Vera Gel as I enjoy its soothing properties.  I also chose Orange Blossom Water since it is mildly astringent and is my favorite hydrosol for oily skin.  You can find Orange Blossom Water from your local Middle Eastern grocery store.  I also chose to add in Calendula extract.  (Click HERE to learn how to make tinctures).  I like Calendula extract as it may help with collagen production.  I also added in a few drops of Lavender, Tea Tree and Palmarosa essential oils.  I use about 2 mls of toner on a cotton pad and gently apply over my freshly washed face. Avoid the eye area.

This is the base of my toner.  I like to use Mountain Rose Herbs Aloe Vera Gel and Witch Hazel Extract.

These are my homespun tinctures.  If you don't want to make your own tinctures, then you can purchase them from Mountain Rose Herbs.

I suggest Mountain Rose Herbs for essential oils.  I really enjoy their Organic Palmarosa Essential Oil.

Store your toner in a glass amber colored bottle.  You can use a dropper insert if you would like. These can be purchased from Mountain Rose Herbs.
