Calendula & Sweet Orange Lip Balm

Still need some clever ideas on how to use up your batch of handcrafted Calendula Infused Oil?  This Calendula & Sweet Orange Lip Balm will keep your kisser in tip-top condition this season.  This recipe makes about three ounces of lip balm. Choose your favorite containers and offer them to loved ones for Holiday Gifts.  Enjoy!!

1/2 ounce Shea Butter
1 1/2 ounces Calendula Infused Grapeseed Oil (recipe here)
1/2 ounce grated or chopped Beeswax
10 drops Vitamin E Oil
20 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Place your Shea Butter, Calendula Infused Oil and Beeswax in a large glass measuring cup  in the top of a double boiler and melt over simmering heat. Careful not to let the simmering water make its way into your oil mixture.  Once mixture is melted, remove from heat and add in the Vitamin E Oil and Sweet Orange Essential Oil.  Carefully pour the mixture into your lip balm containers.  You will need to fill the containers all the way to the very, very top or you might get a "sink" hole in the product once it cools.  Wait until they have cooled to room temperature before you place the lids on them.  Use within 3 months and avoid exposure to high temperatures as lip balm will melt.
