Natural Bug-Away Spray

 

My hubby and I are going to spend the weekend camping and I made sure to have a fresh batch of Bug-Away Spray ready.  I found this recipe in the Mountain Rose Herbs catalog and it is truly an effective alternative to the commercial repellents that are fashioned with harmful chemicals. You will want to make a bottle of this spray for your next camping trip to keep the mosquitoes away!!

Bug-Away Spray 

4 ounces fresh catnip tincture
4 ounces witch hazel extract
80 drops organic citronella essential oil
80 drops organic eucalyptus essential oil
40 drops organic lavender essential oil
20 drops organic rosemary essential oil
10 drops organic lemongrass essential oil
10 drops organic lemon essential oil

Mix all ingredients in an 8-ounce spray bottle and shake well before each use.  Re-apply as often as needed. **Be prepared for folks to ask "What is that amazing perfume you are wearing?".....LOL!!!
