Holiday Lipstick Trio

Get ready for the holidays with three gorgeous and extra creamy lipstick shades. Makes three 0.15 ounce tubes.

They are glossy and shear and super moisturizing. All three will look great on all skin tones.

For the base, you will need the following ingredients:

10 grams of Triglyceride (or fractionated coconut oil)
0.3 grams Silica Microspheres
1 gram Ceresine Wax
2 grams Cera Bellina (or beeswax)
0.3 grams Laural Laurate
0.2 grams Sunflower Wax
1 gram Carnauba Wax
1 gram Vitamin E Oil
1 gram Castor Oil

Add the ingredients into a glass beaker and place in a few inches of simmering water to fully melt.

While the base is melting, start working on the pigment blends.

You can find the best selection of cosmetic pigments from TKB Trading Company. I am not affiliated with this company, but I order most of my pigments from them and I highly recommend them.

For the Candied Yams shade, I used 0.3 grams of Sericite Mica, 0.2 grams of Dusty Rose Mica and 0.12 grams of Orange #5 Lake.

For the Dragon Fruit shade, I used 0.5 grams of White Sericite Mica and 0.06 grams of Red #27 Lake.

For the Rum Cake shade, I used 0.3 grams Sericite Mica, 0.24 grams of Antique Copper and 0.02 grams of Red #7.

Working with one shade at a time, pour 1/3 of the melted base (7 grams) into a small silicone mixing bowl and add in the pigments. Keep the mixing bowl in the hot water and fully blend the pigments into the base. Quickly and carefully pour the blended mix into a standard lip balm container.

Completely wipe out the mixing bowl and clean the spatula of all colors and repeat the process with the remaining shades.

All finished and hardened. Ready to wear!

Here they are swatched on my arm. They are slightly transparent and super glossy.
