Herbal Bath Soak for Dry Skin

Hallelujah, Spring has sprung! Winter was so long, I thought I'd found Narnia in my wardrobe, and my poor skin turned into a flaky croissant! But fear not, my DIY bath soak blend came to the rescue like a superhero in a bubble bath.

I've been splashing around in this soothing concoction a few times a week, and my body is singing Hallelujah! Here's my pro tip: I give my skin a gentle dry brushing before I plunge into the tub, just like a pre-dip appetizer. And remember, we're going for a warm, cozy bath, not a lobster boil, so keep that water warm, not hot, for about 30 minutes.  I also massage my Super Silky Sunflower & Wild Chamomile Body Oil over my entire body as soon as I get out of the bath. You can get the recipe for it HERE.

This recipe uses dried flowers and herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs. I have provided links and information about each herb.  It is no surprise that I highly recommend Mountain Rose Herbs for just about everything!! They really are an amazing company!!!

You'll need a tea strainer so large, it could double as a hat for a royal wedding. Check out the hulk-like strainer in the photo above. Not your cup of tea? A muslin bag with a knotting ability worthy of a boy scout is a fantastic alternative. I bagged my metallic tea strainer from Amazon, and now it's devoted to my bathtub shenanigans.

Pack all your ingredients into the strainer like you're preparing a pot of magical tea, and gently dunk it in a tub of warm water. Soak for 30 minutes while the herbs and flowers turn your bath water into a skin-soothing, aromatic potion. Once done, bid farewell to the spent herbs and flowers by composting them. It's like a spa day with a green thumb twist!

Finish off the bath ritual by applying my Super Silky Sunflower & Wild Chamomile Body Oil. The recipe can be found HERE.
