Dark Chocolate Spiced Espresso Sugar Scrub

Ah, this time of year! It's the season when the air is filled with the heady, intoxicating scents of oranges, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, chocolate, and espresso. It's like Mother Nature's own potpourri, but instead of just sniffing it, I've gone ahead and smushed it all into a body scrub. Extra? Maybe. Amazing? Absolutely!

This isn't just any old scrub, either. It's a blend of brown and white sugars, instant espresso powder (because who has time to brew?), dark cocoa powder (because, chocolate), sweet almond and kukui nut oils. It's like taking all the best bits of a bakery and a coffee shop, then throwing in a health food store for good measure.

But the real star of the show is the blend of pure essential oils. It's like they've been plucked straight from the Garden of Eden, and they make this scrub smell like a spiced mocha that's been brewed by angels. 

I love using this right before a hot shower. The steam and the scrub combine to make my bathroom smell like a Starbucks during Pumpkin Spice Latte season. It's enough to make your nose do a happy dance! So go on, give it a whirl. Your skin will thank you, and your nose will be begging for an encore!

 You will need the following ingredients.........

Dark Chocolate Spiced Espresso Sugar Scrub

70 grams white sugar

60 grams brown sugar

10 grams instant espresso powder

10 grams dark cocoa powder

65 grams kukui nut oil
12 grams vegetable glycerin
10 grams sweet almond oil
30 drops orange essential oil
5 drops cinnamon bark essential oil
8 drops black pepper essential oil
5 drops clove essential oil
3 drops cardamom essential oil

Combine both sugars into a small bowl.......

Add in the instant espresso powder.....

Add in the dark cocoa powder.....

Drizzle in the glycerin and oils.......

Mix well and add in the essential oils. Blend well to combine. Store in a lidded container. 

To use: Massage into moistened skin for several minutes. Rinse off with warm water.  Special care needs to be taken since this potentially will make shower and bath surfaces very slippery.  Do not use on cuts or damaged skin. Avoid eyes. External use only!! Do not eat!!
