All Natural Deodorant with Lavender and Sandalwood

Rewind to 2013, when I first concocted an incredibly effective, all-natural deodorant formula, which has seen me crafting several batches each year since. However, the familiar scent of geranium and cedarwood had started to lose its charm, sparking a desire for a refreshing change. Thus, a new aromatic blend was born, featuring the calming notes of lavender essential oil, paired with the mystical allure of sandalwood. Both of these essential oils are renowned for their deodorizing properties, ensuring your underarms retain a delightful scent.

It's crucial to note, natural deodorants are designed to keep you smelling fresh, not to inhibit perspiration. After a strenuous workout at the gym, a simple reapplication leaves me feeling fresh for the remainder of the day. After all, sweating is a natural, healthy bodily function!

For my ingredients, I am loyal to Mountain Rose Herbs! You can source all the necessary components for this deodorant by visiting them online at Mountainroseherbs.com

Steps:

1. Add the Shea butter and Mango butter into a small glass measuring cup and place it in a pot with a few inches of simmering water until fully melted. Remove from heat.

2. Mix the baking soda, arrowroot powder and kaolin clay into the melted ingredients.

3. Mix in the Vitamin E oil and the essential oils.

4. Pour the warm mixture into a clean glass storage container. Place in the refrigerator to cool. While cooling, stir the mixture every five minutes to make sure the baking soda does not settle on the bottom and stays suspended evenly throughout the deodorant.

To use: Spread about 1/8 teaspoon on each armpit. Massage in well.
