Lip Scrub Tutorial


I have three delicious lip scrub recipes for you! Each of my recipes are all-natural and made with extra fine castor sugar to sweetly exfoliate your lips to leave them polished and smooth! A little goes a long way and you don't need to over polish or scrub very hard! Use a lip polish a few times per week and lip balm several times a day, and your lips will stay in tip-top kissable condition.

Espresso Lip Polish
makes approx 1 ounce

1/2 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Beeswax 
2 teaspoons Mountain Rose Herbs Sweet Almond Oil
1 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Mango Butter
1 1/4 teaspoons espresso powder (I use Medaglia D'Oro)
2 teaspoons Superfine or Castor sugar
40 drops Mountain Rose Herbs Vitamin E Oil

1. Measure out the beeswax, sweet almond oil, and mango butter into a small glass measuring cup and place in a saucepan containing a few inches of simmering water until the beeswax and butter have fully melted.

2. Remove from the heat and quickly stir in the espresso powder, sugar, and vitamin E oil. When the mixture starts to harden, simply stir again and spoon into a container with a lid and continue cooling at room temp. Massage a small amount of the scrub over moistened lips to exfoliate and moisturize. Tissue or rinse off.


Chocolate Mint Lip Scrub
Makes approx 1 ounce

1/2 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Beeswax 
2 teaspoons Mountain Rose Herbs Sweet Almond Oil
1 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Mango Butter
1 teaspoon Cocoa powder
2 teaspoons Superfine or Castor sugar
40 drops Mountain Rose Herbs Vitamin E Oil
10 drops Mountain Rose Herbs Spearmint Essential Oil

1. Measure out the beeswax, sweet almond oil, and mango butter into a small glass measuring cup and place in a saucepan containing a few inches of simmering water until the beeswax and butter have fully melted.

2. Remove from the heat and quickly stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, vitamin E oil and spearmint essential oil. When the mixture starts to harden, simply stir again and spoon into a container with a lid and continue cooling at room temp. Massage a small amount of the scrub over moistened lips to exfoliate and moisturize. Tissue or rinse off.



Naked Lip Scrub
Makes approx 1 ounce

1/2 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Beeswax 
2 teaspoons Mountain Rose Herbs Refined Coconut Oil
1 teaspoon Mountain Rose Herbs Jojoba Oil
3 teaspoons Superfine or Castor sugar
40 drops Mountain Rose Herbs Vitamin E Oil

1. Measure out the beeswax, coconut oil, and Jojoba oil into a small glass measuring cup and place in a saucepan containing a few inches of simmering water until the beeswax and oils have fully melted.

2. Remove from the heat and quickly stir in the sugar and vitamin E oil.  When the mixture starts to harden, simply stir again and spoon into a container with a lid and continue cooling at room temp. Massage a small amount of the scrub over moistened lips to exfoliate and moisturize. Tissue or rinse off.
